Kumano Hayatama Taisha is one of the three important shrines in Kumano, located in Shingu City on the southeast coast of the Kii Peninsula. The shrine has been around since at least the 12th century and is known for its ancient rock and sacred tree. Visitors can explore the Treasure Hall, which houses a collection of national treasures brought by pilgrims on the Kumano Kodo. You can easily reach the shrine with a 15-minute walk from JR Shingu Station.
