There are sections of the park you can visit year round but to access all areas you will need to visit during the warmer months. If it will be late the time you arrive at the park, then I would recommend opting for a shorter walk like the Sun Notch Trail. This quick 0.8 mile loop hike offers beautiful views over Crater Lake and Phantom Ship Island.
