Located on the border between County Mayo and Galway, Lough Nafooey is home to a stunning waterfall known as one of the best in Mayo and Galway. The majestic waterfall cascades down from a height of 35 feet with massive volcanic rocks from 490 million years ago making up part of the landscape in the background. Follow the 2.5 km walking trail through the lush woodlands and along the nearby Glensaul River to reach the falls after about 45 minutes.
