Gannel Estuary is a picturesque spot offering lots of fun activities. At high tide, and in calm conditions, paddleboarding along the Gannel is a must-do on any trip to Newquay. I also love swimming in the Gannel from various spots along the estuary or near Crantock car park. The Crantock side of the Gannel is a lovely place to sunbathe, with soft sands right next to the water.
