If you start this itinerary stepping out of U1 Vorgartenstraße U-Bahn station, you walk about 5min to the first spot of this plan and follow across the bridge and down to the island in the Danube river (Donauinsel).
This itinerary is thought to be done walking, it would take about 3 hours depending on the pace and duration o the stops. I would recommend having at least half day available, and either visiting during the peaceful morning hours, or planning for sunset golden hour views from the bridge.
I recommend to bring a small bottle of water and maybe a snack to enjoy by the river, but if you visit during summer season, you will see a bar open right next to the U-Bahn Station in the island, as well as some bars across the river on the coast.
It is recommended for a day with good weather, since the rain or wind could make the visit not too enjoyable.
