This track is such great value for effort with a picturesque pier and lookout over two arms of Lake Wakatipu and it makes a great pit stop on the way to Glenorchy. It is quite popular during peak season (December-end of March) so I recommend coming early in the morning or in the evening if you're visiting during this time, as the carpark is quite small!
