Azenhas do Mar is a little picturesque Mediterranean-looking paradise in the municipality Sintra, less than one hour (30 km) away from Lisbon! These white houses face the wide Atlantic Ocean. Its name means "Watermills of the Sea", reflecting the village's historic economic activity. Depending on the tide, a small beach is formed right beneath the cliffs, which also coexist with a remarkable oceanic swimming pool.

There is a nice restaurant / bar located right next to the oceanic swimming pool. In some occasions, there is live music during the sunset.

The most convenient way to get here is definately by car. One can also rely on a couple of bus routes or apps like Uber or Bolt.
