Get ready for one of the most breathtaking walks of your life along the caldera's edge. This 10km (6.2-mile) trail connects Oia to Fira, passing through the charming villages of Firostefani and Imerovigli along the way. You'll be walking on a mix of paved paths and more rugged dirt trails, with some steep sections, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. The journey typically takes between 3 to 4 hours, but you'll want to allow extra time for photos because the views are simply unforgettable. Remember to bring plenty of water, as there's little shade and few places to buy drinks along the more remote parts of the trail.
