IMPORTANT: Services & Preparedness

  • No fuel stations inside the park. Fuel up on Dempster Corner

  • No food services. Bring your own food and water

Pro tip: Go to the visitor centre when you arrive at the park. They will tell you about the trail conditions, and in August, they offer FREE guided hikes! This is great for those who are worried about wildlife. Some of the guided hikes are even trails that are off limits to those not on the guided hike.

Where to Sleep

There are no hotels in Tombstone Park. The only option is a very basic campground. Half the sites at Tombstone campground are reserved by making your reservation online ahead of time, and the other half is first-come, first-served.

The campground has no amenities. No electrical hookups & no water. The only thing it offers is outhouse bathrooms, wifi at the entrance hut and designated sites to sleep in.

If camping is not an option, the best thing to do is come into the park for the day and stay the night in Dawson City.
