Follow an easy out and back trail along the South Yuba River to endless uncrowded picturesque swimming holes. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Gorgeous wildflowers. Backcountry camping. Hidden waterfalls.
This is one of my FAVORITE rivers in California due to its convenient river access or day journey to my own secret spot.
Summer it can get crowded along Edwards Crossing Road so if you plan to park there, pay the fee and prepare for intimate pools.

Hoyts Crossing is known to be clothing optional.
