Balmoral Hotel is another of the leading Harry Potter Sites in Edinburgh, as this is where J.K. Rowling finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. On the fifth floor of Balmoral Hotel, you will find Room 552 in the corner with an owl decoration and a small golden sign that reads: The J.K. Rowling Suite. It was revealed that J.K. Rowling secretly moved to The Balmoral in August 2006, while writing for 6 months in Room 552. Only the staff knew about Rowling living there.
