Cinema dei Piccoli is an iconic landmark and the world’s smallest cinema in Rome, Italy. The Cinema dei Piccoli was originally built in 1934 as a room dedicated to children where cartoons were shown - which is why the Romans began to call it the “Mickey Mouse House” or the “Piccolo D’Essai”. It has an area of 5 × 2.5 metres, seating around sixty people, located in Villa Borghese Park, and holds the Guinness World Record for the tiniest cinema! It is still open today, showing a variety of films from modern Disney cartoons to classic Italian films. For those wanting a unique and fun experience, visiting Cinema dei Piccoli is certainly a recommended option!
