To stand on the highest point in Georgia is something special, and the 360-degree view from the observation deck is absolutely breathtaking, letting you gaze out over four states on a clear day. From the parking area, you have two choices to get to the top: a shuttle bus for a quick ride, or a walk up the paved trail. The path is only about half a mile, but it's a steep climb that will get your heart pumping, taking most folks around 25-30 minutes. At the summit, there's a great visitor center with a museum to explore before you soak in those incredible Appalachian vistas. There's an $8 per person fee which includes the shuttle ride.
