Hotel Lækur is a small and cozy family run country hotel in a beautiful locations in south Iceland. Location is central for all main attractions in South Iceland. The hotel is renovated old barn, but with all the comforts of a modern hotel. Beautiful interior design in the surroundings of Icelandic nature, the river, the fields, the animals, the mountains and glaciers.

The hotel consist of two buildings and four cottages, with a total of 25 rooms varying from the single rooms to the cottage suites, a boutique style restaurant, reception and lounge. You can also enjoy the northern lights or midnight sun from our outdoor hot tub and warm your chilly bones in the sauna. Guests are encouraged to interact with the nature surrounding them, wether it be to pet the animals on the farm, take a walk along the river, play football or disc golf on our fields or use our wake up service to see the northern lights.

All rooms have a private entrance and facilities, television, free high speed Wi-Fi, kettle and complimentary coffee and tea and a free access to hot tub and sauna. The cottage suites also have a private lounge, a patio facing the river and sunset and a big skylight window facing north for the northern lights.ideal for families (max 6 guests per cottage) or as a suite.
