Mirbeau feels like stepping into the French countryside…except it’s tucked away in Upstate New York.

It still kind of blows my mind that a place with this much of a French countryside vibe exists where it does. Mirbeau invited us for a spa weekend right after we got back from a month abroad. And it was EXACTLY what we needed. After weeks of sensory overload, our stay here felt like a full reset with long spa sessions, soaking in the hot tub, slow mornings with breakfast in bed and literally nowhere else to be.

• The French garden style grounds that make you completely forget that you’re actually in New York
• The spa and its quiet spaces, saunas and treatments that feel so restorative
• Slow mornings with coffee by the fire
• Evenings that revolved around aroma therapy, amazing food and unwinding
• The close proximity to all the cute little shops, restaurants and waterfront in Skaneateles
