The Stegastein Viewpoint is one of Norway’s most stunning scenic stops, offering a jaw-dropping panoramic view over the Aurlandsfjord. The sleek wooden and steel platform juts 30 meters out from the mountainside and is perched 650 meters above the fjord – a spot that truly takes your breath away.

🚌 Be prepared: the road is narrow and winding, and large tour buses frequently use it too. Drive carefully!

🌄 If you're visiting in summer (typically from early June), continue further up the Aurlandsfjellet Scenic Route. This spectacular mountain pass offers even more dramatic views, snowfields, and quiet landscapes far above the fjords.
