Open since July 2021, Chinggis Khaan International Airport is the only airport international travelers will arrive into or depart from. Located 50 kilometers outside of the capital, expect the drive into the city to take anywhere from 45 minutes to three hours, during peak rush hour.

There are bathrooms in the arrivals hall, before you exit. ATM machines are also in the arrival hall, along with cell phone carries where you can get a cheap SIM card (roughly $12 for a month of service).

Take a bus shuttle or private transfer into the city for $20 to $40 on average. Book private transfers ahead for the most convenience, especially if arriving in the middle of the night.
