Perched atop a hill overlooking Bologna, this sanctuary is a true reward after a memorable journey. To reach it, you can walk the world's longest portico, a unique covered walkway stretching nearly 4 kilometers up the hillside. The climb is a rewarding challenge, taking about 45-60 minutes, but the stunning panoramic views of the city and surrounding landscape from the top are well worth the effort. Inside, you'll find a peaceful and beautiful baroque-style church, but the real experience is the pilgrimage-like walk to get there.
