After a relaxing soak at Geosea, we made the short drive to Camping 66.12° NORTH, our base for the night in Húsavík. The campsite was well-maintained, spacious, and inviting, providing all the essentials for camper van travelers: electricity hookups, spotless bathrooms, a small kitchen area, picnic tables, and even Wi-Fi.

The location offered picturesque views of rolling hills and the distant coastline, while still being within easy walking distance of Húsavík’s charming town center. As we parked the camper van and took in the surroundings, a sense of accomplishment from the day’s adventures washed over us.

Under the soft glow of the midnight sun, we cooked a simple dinner and shared stories from the day — the hike up Hverfjall, the serene waters of Mývatn Lake, and the soothing warmth of Geosea. The calm, cozy atmosphere of Camping 66.12° NORTH made it the perfect spot to rest, reflect, and recharge for the adventures that awaited the next day.
