Just a few miles north of Breckenridge, the Gold Hill Trailhead is your gateway to some classic high-country scenery. You can hop on a popular 2.9-mile loop that offers fantastic views of the Tenmile Range and sparkling Dillon Reservoir without a grueling climb. The trail starts right from the parking lot and winds through aspen groves and meadows bursting with wildflowers in the summer, though be ready for plenty of sun as much of the area is open. It's a great option for hikers of all levels to experience a piece of the famous Colorado Trail.
