Wahclella Falls in Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area is a beautiful and accessible trail that features charming waterfalls and creative rock formations. The 1.9-mile out-and-back route near Cascade Locks, Oregon is a popular destination for hikers and runners who appreciate its moderate difficulty while still enjoying the breathtaking views of the area. It takes an average of 47 minutes to complete the route, making it perfect for quick outings or picnics along the way. Dogs are welcome if they’re kept on a leash. Visitors can enjoy hot summer days by taking a swim in the icy waters under the waterfall or exploring the old forest burn area that’s now regrowing. A NW Forest pass is required, but $5 will do in case visitors forget their pass at home.
