Dunmore Head is an iconic promontory in the westernmost part of the Dingle Peninsula, located in County Kerry, Republic of Ireland. It is known for being the farthest west point of mainland Ireland and one of the furthest western points of Europe. Dunmore Head has physical features composed of steeply dipping beds of Eask Sandstone Formation, also referred to as the Old Red Sandstone created during the Devonian period.
