Jungfrau Region is perhaps the most popular mountain region in Switzerland and for good reason. It has some of the most spectacular views, exciting trails and famous peaks like the Eiger.
This region has several mountain lifts that run year round, including Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, and Grindelwald First. So even if trails close due to snow, you still have access to many mountain viewpoints during October.
In this itinerary, I've included our favorite fall activities in this region. Some require mountain lifts that close in mid October. So I've noted alternatives if you visit after this time.
