Introduction:
If you plan on hiking during your trip to Switzerland, I highly recommend downloading swisstopo. For the hikes in the Swiss Alps Guide I used Swisstopo and mapped them all out on the app for you to access. It's a reliable and good tool to plan hikes by yourself.
What you can do in the App:
In the App you can plan your own hiking routes / biking routes / Skitours / Snowshoe hikes by touch and drag.
Check which difficulty the hike is going to be, how many meters in height and how much time it's going to take
With GPS you can find the nearest trail if you've gone off path
There is a useful feature that shows snow levels. This way you can always check if and how much snow lies on a trail you're planning to do.
Panorama Mode: Find out which mountain you are looking at.
