Huntly Castle is located in the small town of Huntly in Aberdeenshire. The castle, now ruined dates back to the 12th century and was home to the Gordon Family.
The castle features impressive architecture, with its striking sandstone stonework and intricate details that reflect the era's craftsmanship.
Oh, and be on the look out for resident cat - Buster, he likes to hang around the entrance.
Visitors can wander through the ruins, or you can view the exterior for free in the nearby path and woodland. In this area you will see the river Deveron nearby and it is lovely area to walk around.

Huntly castle is a part of Historic Scotland and if you are a member then entry is free.

You can buy your tickets on the day.
