Can you believe this is just a short drive from the city? The Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary is a must if you're after something a bit different close to home. You can explore it by kayak or on a river cruise - I've linked both separately in this guide. Every time we’ve been, we’ve seen dolphins swimming close to us, which never gets old tbh. The sanctuary is home to a resident pod of wild dolphins. Kayaking gives you access to the nearby mangroves and ship graveyards too. Best visited on a calm day for clearer views and better dolphin-spotting.
