Portland International Jetport, also known as the Jetport, is a public airport located just two miles west of downtown Portland, Maine. Owned and operated by the City of Portland, it covers 726 acres of land and is the busiest airport in the state. With over two million passengers passing through in 2018, the Jetport has seen significant growth, thanks to low-cost carriers like Southwest Airlines and JetBlue. A $75 million renovation in 2011 and ongoing improvements have enhanced the airport's facilities and services, making it a convenient and affordable travel hub for visitors to the region.
