Levada das 25 Fontes is the most popular Levada hike on Madeira, located in the heart of dense jungle surrounding Rabacal. PR6 hike is considered to be an easy-going adventure, with breathtaking views and a one-of-a-kind experience. During the 11 km round trip journey, hikers get to explore multiple trails, passing along tunnels of overgrown branches and aqueducts before getting to experience Madeira's iconic Risco Waterfall, which cascades down a two-tiered cliff face of over 100 meters. After a short detour, follow the path to the awe-inspiring 25 Fontes Waterfall, encircled by lush tropical plants and moss, with a central basin perfect for an icy plunge after a full day of exploring.
