Levada do Furado is the perfect hiking spot to enjoy the beautiful shades of green of the Laurissilva forest. With its 11 km long and 3 hours duration, this trail starts at Ribeiro Frio and leads you to the waters divide in Levada da Serra do Faial. Throughout your journey, you will witness the farmlands of Faial, São Roque do Faial and Porto da Cruz from higher points. The hike ends in Portela where you can see the gigantic Penha d'Águia rock formation and enjoy the fresh air from the Portela viewpoint. So, get your hiking shoes on and embark on an adventure that you won't forget!
