This is a fairly well-known photo spot, yet it can’t be found on Google Maps, which is exactly why I’ve included it in my guide — so you can capture great shots here as well.

It’s a famous road hairpin located on Ponta de São Lourenço, especially beautiful during sunset hours, regardless of the season. However, in summer, the position of the sun at sunset creates the most attractive colors, with soft hues and delicate light as the day comes to an end.

Park your car at the indicated point and walk up a small hill, just 20–30 meters in the direction of the windmills.
