Estrada Hortênsia on São Miguel Island is famous for its stunning hydrangea blooms lining the road, creating vibrant, colorful scenery, especially from late spring to early fall. The flowers reach full bloom from June to August, making this period the best time to visit. Outside of these months, especially in winter, you won’t find the same lush display, as the flowers are dormant.
