My real Zurich summer rule is simple: leave home like you might end up in the water.
Always bring a towel, swimwear, sunscreen and something light in your bag! The best plans here often happen without planning too much. You go for coffee, walk by the lake, see the water looking perfect, and suddenly you want to swim.
That is Zurich in summer. The lake is not just something to look at. It becomes part of your day.
