That Wanaka Tree is exactly what it sounds like a lone tree standing in Lake Wānaka and one of the most photographed spots in New Zealand. You don’t need more than 10–15 minutes here, and it’s best early morning or at sunset when the light is soft and crowds are smaller. It’s an easy lakeside stop that pairs well with a walk or coffee nearby.
