Honda Bay is the go-to spot for island hopping in Puerto Princesa. It’s smaller in scale compared to Coron or El Nido, but still a fun day out with plenty of swimming, snorkelling and sandy beaches!

The most popular spots there include:

• Starfish Island, with shallow water and loads of, you guessed it, starfish

• Cowrie Island, one of the more developed islands, with bars and beach huts

• Luli Island, a sandbar that appears and disappears with the tide

• Pandan Island, great snorkelling and soft sand, sometimes included in private tours

THINGS TO KNOW

• Tours leave from Honda Bay wharf, about 30–40 minutes from Puerto Princesa town centre

• Shared tours cost around $20–$30 USD per person (often includes lunch)

• Private tours give you more flexibility, but cost extra. We prefer this as you can customise your tour to avoid crowds

• Some operators include the environmental fee while others don't, check this beforehand

• If the environmental fee is not included, bring cash to pay for it (~₱150 per person)
