Built by Cebu’s Chinese community in the 1970s, this Taoist temple sits on a hill in the Beverly Hills subdivision, a 20-30 minute drive from downtown.

The temple isn’t huge but it’s very beautiful, with bright dragons and pagoda-style roofs. Plus the entry is free and the views over Cebu are epic!

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • You’ll climb a set of steep stairs to reach the temple (not wheelchair accessible).

  • 30 minutes to 1 hour for a visit.

  • Locals and visitors alike light incense and make wishes here.

  • It’s quiet compared to the busy downtown attractions.

  • Best visited in the morning or late afternoon, when it’s cooler for the climb.
