Maasin River is that classic Siargao photo spot with a palm tree hanging over the water and a rope swing tied to it. You pay a small fee, climb the tree, and swing straight into the river.

It’s a fun stop, but it’s wayyy busier than it looks online, even locals line up to help you swing (and charge for photos).

Still, it’s worth coming for a quick swim and the palm-lined views if you're into photography. If you are expecting something special, don't bother coming here. It is a little tourist trap vibe.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Crowds are common, don’t expect to have it to yourself.

  • Locals often help with swinging and taking photos for a tip.

  • Short stop, 20-30 mins is plenty.

TO ACCESS

  • About 30-40 min drive from General Luna.

  • Entry fee ~₱20–₱50 plus optional tips for photos/swing help.

  • Usually combined with Coconut View Deck and Magpopongko in the same trip.
