Secret Lagoon was one of our favourite adventures in El Nido, as you can only access it by swimming through a small cave entrance!
While it may not be much of a secret anymore... here's how getting there looks like:
Your tour boat will pull up out in front of the rocky entrance.
Put on your hired snorkel and fins/water booties and jump off the boat.
Follow your guide and swim down through a hole in the rock and you'll find the turquoise lagoon.
It's much easier than it sounds if you are a confident swimmer.
But we don't recommend this activity if you're not a confident swimmer, because it will be hard to wear a life jacket while you swim through the hole in the rock.
TO ACCESS:
Secret Lagoon is only accessible via boat on an island-hopping tour, which can be private or pre-made (tours A, B, C, D):
Pre-made: Secret Lagoon is included in Tour A, like this one. This pre-made tour often includes other spots like Big Lagoon, Shimizu Island, and Seven Commandos Beach. These tours are cheaper than private ones, but you won't be able to avoid crowds.
Private tours: We prefer this option as you can avoid crowds, choose the spots you'll visit, and the experience is more personalised. It's a bit more pricey if you're travelling solo or as a couple, but it can actually be cheaper than the pre-made tours if you're a group of 4-6!
If you like to have everything pre-organised and pre-paid, this provider has a private tour option.
But honestly, you'll probably get better deals in town.
There are plenty of providers, and all the times we've been there, they all quote very similar prices, so you shouldn't get ripped off.
