Pescador is a tiny island a short boat ride from Moalboal, and it’s one of the best spots for diving in Cebu.

We joined a dive trip here and it was epic! There were turtles, schools of fish, and colourful coral everywhere.

Plus, it’s easy to combine Pescador Island with the Sardine Run for a day of snorkelling.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Incredible visibility most of the year, with coral walls and drop-offs.

• Popular dive site, but you can also snorkel if you don’t dive.

• Common sightings include turtles, jacks, sardines, and the occasional reef shark.

• Trips usually run as half-day tours from Moalboal and include multiple dive/snorkel spots.

TO ACCESS

• Boats leave from Moalboal, around 20–30 minutes to the island.

• Expect to pay ₱500–₱1,500 for snorkelling trips, and ₱2,000–₱3,500 for diving packages depending on how many dives and if you need equipment.

• Book through your dive shop or ask at your hotel, there are plenty of operators in town.
