Twin Lagoon is one of the most surreal places you’ll EVER swim and it is so beautiful to boat or kayak through.

The water has a mix of saltwater and freshwater, creating a thermocline, i.e. you’ll feel sudden temperature shifts as you swim!

The place itself is a set of two lagoons surrounded by towering limestone cliffs, with the only way to get between them being a small crevice you either swim through or climb over at low tide. Talk about an adventure!

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • You’ll arrive by boat straight into the first lagoon. Where you can follow the boardwalk and then swim a short way over to two cliffs, behind that is a beautiful hidden lagoon.

  • There’s a small gap under the rocks to get to the back lagoon. You can either swim through (hold your breath and duck under) or take the short ladder over the top if you’re not keen on going underwater.

  • The water is calm and great for swimming, so bring a snorkel to explore.

TO ACCESS

  • Only reachable on an island-hopping tour from Coron.

  • It's part of pre-made tour B, like this one.

  • We recommend booking a private boat if possible, so you can choose your timing and avoid crowds.

  • Often paired with Barracuda Lake and Skeleton Wreck.

TIPS & HACKS

  • Consider booking the tour in town, it's usually cheaper than booking online.

  • If on a private tour, request to go late in the day to Twin Lagoon, most group tours leave by 3 pm, so the late afternoon can be magic.

  • Bring a dry bag for your phone/camera if you’re swimming under the rock.

  • If you’re not a confident swimmer, ask for a life jacket before you jump in, it’s deep right from the edge.

  • Wear reef-safe sunscreen and take your rubbish with you.
