Cloud 9 is the surf spot that put Siargao on the map. The waves here are world-class, and even if you don’t surf, it’s fun to watch the pros take on the reef break from the iconic wooden boardwalk

There are heaps of surf schools there, plus board rentals, and cafés. It’s also an epic sunset spot, so definitely check it out! 

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Multiple surf breaks with waves for different levels (though true beginners often head to gentler spots nearby).

• Iconic wooden boardwalk and viewing tower, good for photos and watching surfers.

• Surf schools and instructors are easy to find, lessons around ₱800-₱1,500.

• Board rental costs ₱300-₱500 per hour.

• Can get crowded during the day, but the atmosphere is epic. 

TO ACCESS

• Located right in General Luna, easy to reach by scooter or tuk-tuk.

• No entry fee for the boardwalk.

• A great base for lessons, or just a chill spot if you want to soak up the surf culture.
