Just a short drive from the main Golden Circle route, you'll find Þórufoss, a beautiful and often overlooked waterfall that offers a more peaceful experience than Iceland's more crowded spots. It's an easy 5-to-10-minute walk from the small car park across a field to the canyon's rim for a fantastic view. For a closer look, you can take a steeper, rockier path down to the riverbed, but be sure to wear sturdy shoes as it can be slippery.
