Prepare to be captivated by the sheer force of Gullfoss, the 'Golden Falls'. You can feel the power of the glacial water as it thunders down two tiers into a rugged canyon, sending a plume of mist into the air. There are a couple of main viewpoints connected by easy walking paths, with the upper platform offering a grand panoramic view just a few minutes from the car park. For a more intense experience, take the lower path to get closer to the canyon's edge, but be ready for the spray!
