Hook Lighthouse is located in County Wexford, Ireland. It is the second oldest operational lighthouse in the world, having been in continuous operation since the 13th century. The lighthouse stands on Hook Head, a rocky promontory. It is a round stone tower, approximately 35 metres high, with a lantern and gallery. The light is visible for up to 24 nautical miles. The lighthouse is open to the public and offers guided tours.

Not only can you take a look inside the lighthouse but it's a place for some whalewatching (so bring bionchulars) and you'll often see seals swimming close by the rocks. The rock formations are stunning here too.
