For one of the best views in the region, make your way to the ruins of the old Moorish castle perched above the village. There isn’t much of the fortress left today—it was demolished in the 16th century—but the panoramic vista of Frigiliana's white houses, the mountains, and the Mediterranean Sea is absolutely worth the effort. The walk up is a short, steep hike on an uneven path, taking about 20-30 minutes from the upper part of town; a good starting point is the trail next to The Garden Restaurant.
