Finding parking near the beach can be one of the biggest challenges on the French Riviera. These beaches offer some of the most convenient access if you're traveling by car.

🌊 Plage Mala (Cap-d'Ail)

Best for: Crystal-clear water & dramatic scenery

  • One of the Riviera's most beautiful beaches

  • Short walk down a staircase from the parking area

  • Arrive before 9:00 AM in summer

  • Parking Mala

  • Public parking in Cap-d'Ail village


🌴 Plage des Marinières (Villefranche-sur-Mer)

Best for: Families & calm water

  • Long pebble beach

  • Gentle entrance into the sea

  • Restaurants and cafĂŠs within walking distance

Parking:

  • Parking des Marinières

  • Parking Wilson (5–10 minute walk)


🌅 Baie des Fourmis (Beaulieu-sur-Mer)

Best for: Relaxed atmosphere

  • Usually less crowded than nearby beaches

  • Beautiful views of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

  • Great choice for a peaceful afternoon

Parking:

  • Parking near Villa KĂŠrylos

  • Public waterfront parking


🪨 Coco Beach (Nice)

Best for: Snorkeling & locals

  • Rocky swimming area with exceptionally clear water

  • Popular with locals

  • Not ideal for young children

  • Limited street parking nearby


💡 Beach tips

  • Most beaches are pebbles, not sand.

  • Bring water shoes for extra comfort.

  • Parking fills quickly between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM in summer.

  • Bring your own umbrella if visiting public beaches.
