Watanabe Bakery, established in 1891, is a historic bakery in Hakone's Miyanoshita district. It is renowned for its "Onsen Stew Bread," a round loaf of French bread hollowed out and filled with hearty beef stew, offering a warm and satisfying meal. The bakery also offers a variety of "Anpan" (sweet bean paste buns), including the "Umeboshi Anpan," which contains a whole pickled plum, and the "Hakonezan Anpan" series, named after local mountains and filled with various bean pastes. The bakery uses Hakone's premium spring water and local ingredients in its baking, ensuring freshness and quality. With a cozy eat-in space, visitors can enjoy their selections with a cup of coffee or juice. The bakery is located approximately 8 minutes on foot from Miyanoshita Station on the Hakone Tozan Railway.
