Potty Training on the Ring Road

Toddlers really thrive on routine and predictability, especially when it comes to potty training. So naturally travel has the potential to trigger a small regression, which is what happened to us. Our 3 year old was basically 99% potty trained, only really having an accidents due to not being able to "hold it" - however he had some accidents on our Iceland trip due to him not telling us he needed to go at all. I think he was just out of his element, distracted, and unsure... With that said, bringing a collapsible portable toddler potty was essential due to public restrooms being few and far between along the Ring Road, and allowed him to go potty without having to suit up in rain gear or get cold and wet walking to the campsite restrooms. I got mine on Amazon and it fit in our carry on bag!
