The hike up from the city center is super easy and just takes 10 to 15 minutes. You follow the Kovači street up, walk past the Kovači Cemetery and from there you can already see the ruins of the old fortress.

There is a little café at the fortress where you can buy drinks but you can also bring your own.

Visiting this sunset spot is especially nice during the Holy month of Ramadan – every day, right at sunset, a cannon is fired from the Yellow Bastion, marking sunset and the breaking of the fast. People gather to watch the cannon being fired and enjoy their Iftar right afterwards.
