There is a lot of chocolate in Patagonia and Benroth ranks among my favorites (it's an exclusive list, I love chocolate). Benroth was founded in 1965 by Bernardo Benroth Today the company is still family-run.

The Bariloche location is a bit of trek, not on the main street but it's worth the trek to get to. I promise!

What I love about their chocolate bars are that they clearly look handmade. They are imperfectly perfect, with generous fillings. Choose an assortment to try, I love their mint chocolate bars but try all of the local berry flavors as well. Guinda (candied cherries) is a specialty, for example.
