Le Caravelle is a decades old cafe brewing Italian style coffee for over 60 years. Lavalle was the city's first pedestrian street and home to two major theaters. Theater goers by night and businessmen by day needed that hit of caffeine and Le Caravelle serves up the best cappuccino in the city.

They'll heat the milk then pour it into your cup right in front of you (join the throngs of us on Instagram by filming this moment haha). The foam will puff up far up above the rim of the cup.

I do have to admit that a recent remodel removed a lot of the greasy spoon charm from the place, the old knick knacks are gone and now it's generic white paint and puffy bar stools. But the old school servers and good coffee remain, I highly recommend it for coffee lovers.
